Cockpit-Mover
Cockpit Mover
If you want to move the entire cockpit, you’ll find what you’re looking for in this section. Using actuator systems from Qubic Systems or the Next Level Racing Motion Plus system, it is possible to raise the cockpit at the front and/or rear, thereby simulating roll and pitch. Ideally, the cockpit then behaves like a car with four springs and shock absorbers. When braking, the front end dips low, and when accelerating, the car tilts backwards. Consequently, the same happens in corners when you lean the vehicle outwards against the direction of the bend.
In the case of an aeroplane, this works in line with the roll and pitch movements in the direction of travel (aircraft to the right in a right-hand turn, nose of the aircraft up during climb).
And as the ‘icing on the cake’, the Qubic CH2 offers the option of moving the entire system longitudinally (back and forth) and laterally at the rear (sideways). This allows yaw effects (rudder or tail slip) and acceleration effects (braking, accelerating) to be simulated.
Conceptually, the Cockpit Mover is therefore initially in competition with the Seat Mover, but it can also be combined with it to great effect (see the ‘Hybrid Cockpits’ category).
