QS-Pivot is an innovative accessory designed for users seeking the intense sensations typically found in high-end simulators. When combined with QS-210 or QS-220 actuators, it creates a unique 2.5 DOF* configuration that delivers full immersion in driving simulation.

We recognize that many individuals cannot afford the one-time expense of implementing a 3DOF (4 actuators) system for their simulator. To address this, we are introducing the option to take the first step with just 2 actuators using an additional accessory: the pivot leg, which we are thrilled to add to the Qubic System lineup.

Interestingly, if the QS-PIVOT is mounted sufficiently far forward, this setup will create the impression of an additional HEAVE axis, as the motion from the PITCH axis will be so optimized that it feels like translational (vertical) motion to the human vestibular system. Thus, with just 2 actuators combined with the pivot leg, users can achieve a “2.5 DOF” sensation, which may be an excellent starting point for many enthusiasts.* Heave motion pattern combined from pitch axis.

The positioning signal is analyzed and preprocessed directly by the driver, so it is possible to change all driver parameters at basically zero cost (time / latency). Drivers parse the incoming command as soon as the command arrives. It also allows to append different types of vibrations (per actuator) on driver level.
• Motion sickness compensation thanks to telemetry data provided in real time directly by the game’s engine and immediately injected to the hardware to perform.
